Jill Schoolman is the founder and publisher of Archipelago Books, an award-winning, not-for-profit press devoted to devoted to publishing excellent translations of classic and contemporary world literature. Archipelago, based in Brooklyn, has published 130 books from more than thirty languages in its first twelve years.
